Your new role

Initially a long term contract, with a view for extensions or a permanent role. Reporting to the Director of this global agency, you will work remotely from Newcastle on global web and mobile projects that are viewed by millions of people worldwide for leading technology and consumer brands globally.

These projects are the most exciting and high profile web and mobile applications that you will have be able to add to your portfolio.

You will work with a diverse team of experts in Australia, US and Canada, and be supported to create some of the best work of your career. As the first employee in Newcastle, you will be instrumental in helping grow a local team of technology experts.

You will be a passionate about your craft and have the opportunity to add to your portfolio, a number of highly polished, elegant, clean web and mobile experiences.

Your skills and experience

• You have several years of experience creating beautiful web experiences, and can provide examples of your work.
• You will be working on websites built with React, some exposure to Contenful and Heroku would be ideal but not essential,.
• Some React Native for iOS and Android, and exposure to high-grade mobile solutions
• You’re a natural problem solver and inquisitive in nature, passionate about using the newest technologies to achieve outcomes
• You’ve got some exposure to UX/UI and design best practices and can factor this knowledge into your development process
• You have relevant education in software development, be it a university degree or alternative education methods (such as MOOCs or TAFE)
• You hold unrestricted work rights in Australia for the foreseeable future (sponsorship is not offered, sorry), and can live and work on-premises or from home, with the ability to travel to Newcastle or be based here..
